A Basking Babies round up of 2022

Celebrating 10 years!

Possibly the most exciting thing about 2022 was that on the 16th June last year, we officially turned 10 years old!

From our first classes in Carla’s Brentwood living room to 16 franchises across the UK, the last 10 years have flown by!

We’ve accomplished a lot, none of which would have been possible without the support that we have received from families on our courses. 

We can’t wait to see what the next year – and the next decade – holds for Basking Babies!

Award wins, accreditation and events

We’ve always made it our mission to provide top quality classes, but last year we were thrilled to be recognised in the wider children’s activities sectors as well as receiving a number of accolades.

We’re now associated with the Institute of Children’s Activity Providers and the Children’s Activities Association and we attended two fantastic conferences last year to meet like-minded individuals in the sector.

On top of that, we were named Small Business Sunday winners by Theo Paphitis, and picked up Jacqueline Gold CBE’s Women on Wednesday award in the same year!

As well as award-wins, in March we attended The ExCel Baby Show for the second year running. We had an amazing time chatting with some lovely families, giving out goody bags and spreading a little Basking Babies magic. We can’t wait to get out and about to more events this year!

Brand new baby yoga classes

Early in 2022, our brand-new baby yoga courses officially landed!

Baby Yoga (walking) and Baby Yoga (crawling) are ideal for babies who are on their way to becoming little walkers and little crawlers! These classes are great for parents and little ones to relax and let loose, and follow our earlier baby massage and baby yoga courses perfectly.

Welcoming new faces

We have had the great pleasure of welcoming new franchisees and instructors this year.

These include Lou (Bishops Stortford & Great Dunmow) and Louise (Brentwood & Billericay). On top of that, Carla from our Braintree, Coggeshall & Halstead franchise brought on an instructor, Aimie, as she grows and develops her business.

It’s been amazing to see these wonderful ladies throw themselves Basking Babies classes. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!

Charity fundraising

Charity is hugely important to every one of us at Basking Babies. As such, every year, we run several fundraisers to show our support to some fantastic causes.

This year we have supported Caudwell Children, Cradle, and The Trussell Trust through our dress up fundraisers in class, raising a total of £849 for these worthy causes.

Phew! 2022 was definitely a busy year, and we can’t wait to see what the next one holds. Thank you for your continued support – bring on more amazing memories in 2023!
