In June 2025, mum of two Charlotte Pinnuck swapped the high-pressure world of corporate project management for a brand-new chapter with us at Basking Babies. Now running classes in Bishop’s Stortford, Charlotte is building a business that blends flexibility with purpose. Having experienced first-hand the calm and connection of baby massage with her youngest son, she was inspired to bring the same supportive space to other parents, all while creating a career that truly works around family life.

Before joining our network, Charlotte built her career in the corporate world as a project manager. Her days were filled with tight deadlines, constant pressure and little room for personal connection. While the role gave her valuable skills, Charlotte knew the long hours, frequent travel and high-stress environment weren’t sustainable alongside raising two young children. When faced with the prospect of returning to that lifestyle, she decided it was time to take a different path, one that offered more balance, purpose and fulfilment.

“I first attended a Basking Babies class with my youngest son when he was just seven weeks old, and I was immediately struck by how calm and supportive the environment was. After the chaos of having two young children and the loneliness of lockdown, it felt like a safe space to connect, relax, and meet other mums. I knew straight away that I wanted to create the same experience for other parents - a place where they could feel supported, empowered, and part of a real community,” said Charlotte.

Charlotte’s first term with us has been both exciting and rewarding. She’s loved watching parents gradually build friendships and support networks that extend beyond the classroom. Seeing mums relax, connect and enjoy special bonding moments with their babies has made the experience incredibly fulfilling. With her first term now complete, Charlotte is looking forward to growing her classes and welcoming even more families into her supportive community.

“The support from the Basking Babies network has been incredible - it genuinely feels like a family. There’s no competitiveness, just a lot of encouragement and guidance. I’ve also met so many wonderful women who joined at the same time, some of them are now friends for life,” added Charlotte.

Just two months after launching with us, Charlotte was awarded Franchisee of the Month, a recognition that reflects her dedication, passion and hard work. The early accolade was a huge confidence boost, reaffirming that her decision to leave corporate life and build a business around supporting parents was the right one.

“Winning took me by surprise and gave my confidence a huge boost. I sometimes struggle with imposter syndrome and feel like I should be doing more, so this recognition really reassured me that I’m doing the right thing and making a difference,” explained Charlotte.

“Charlotte’s first few months with Basking Babies show exactly what’s possible when passion meets purpose. She’s taken her own experiences as a mum and turned them into a thriving franchise that brings calm, connection and support to families in her local area. Her energy, dedication and commitment to creating a welcoming space perfectly reflect the values at the heart of our network, and we’re thrilled to see her make such a positive impact so quickly,” added our founder, Carla Davison.
